,after 22 years of Skippered Charter and RYA Training, mainly on the West Coast of Scotland, but also with summers spent in Southern Ireland, the Faroe Islands and Arctic Norway.
Since about year three, we’ve been consistently oversubscribed with a satisfaction rating well over 90% and a return rate ranging from 70% to, some years, 100%. The yacht and equipment is maintained and updated to a high standard.
Many guests have become firm friends, so it’s with a heavy heart that we move on.
There could be multiple possibilities for a potential buyer, including;
1/ Take the complete business including assets of yacht, equipment**, Domain names, systems and an introduction to past guests. I have also registered New Horizon Sailing Ltd as a business in the UK (currently dormant)., or;
2/ Use your own yacht and take everything else from me. I’m mindful that our brand name is readily transferable to any vessel in any part of the world, or;

In the case of the first two option, I’d be happy to help a buyer set up their business by providing a couple of weeks of consultancy time to help with the transfer and to talk about lessons learned over 22 years of operation.

o Full range of safety gear – liferaft, MOB recovery, EPIRBS etc
o All fenders and warps
o A very full complement of spares
o Bedding and towels
o Galley storage
o Pots, pans, crockery, cutlery etc

o Paper Charts covering from SW Ireland, the Irish Sea, Scotland, the Faroe Isles and Norway between Bergen and Tromso

Richard is your skipper and host, He is equally happy to handle the boat or leave you to sail while he keeps the mugs of tea and coffee topped up, prepares the meals or uncorks the wine.
He is a qualified RYA Yachtmaster Instructor with over twenty years experience sailing the waters of the Scottish West Coast, the Northern Isles, the Faroe Islands, Arctic Norway as well as the Caribbean, Mediterranean and coasts of France and Spain. Those who want to learn more will find him a calm and patient coach.
Experienced sailors will enjoy improving their navigation and boat handling skills in an area with interesting tides and snug anchorages. Beginners will soon find themselves spending time at the wheel, trimming the sails or launching the dinghy.
We welcome all ages (from five to eighty-five so far), beginners as well as veteran sailors, people travelling on their own as well as couples and whole boat groups. The male/female ratio is 50/50 and repeat guests make up over 95% of bookings.
Wind, Tide, Weather and the mood of the group dictate that no two cruises will be the same.
Favourite memories include;
reefed-down sailing in magnificent winds, barrelling along with the tide in narrow channels, dry-mouthed moments creeping into tight anchorages or landing on rocky shores in the tender.
And;
a stroll on an empty beach, local hospitality, laughing at the antics of puffins around their burrows, the excitement of sighting the first dolphins or the craic over an excellent dinner as we share favourite experiences.
Whatever your age or experience, whether looking for a relaxing sailing holiday in Scotland cruising between islands, a concentrated week of mile building in the Outer Hebrides, a short break, or more adventurous sailing to St. Kilda, Orkney, Fair Isle, or Shetland you will find something to suit you.
